What is a Barn Shake? A Barn Shake is simply a split shake that is not sawn or resawn (no saw marks), and is the same thickness at the top end and the butt end. The average thickness of a Barn Shake is usually 3/8 of an inch but this can vary to suit the customers needs or want. The length of a Barn Shake can also be tailored to suit the customers need.
